The material is very soft against your skin.

I always wear mine high on my back and like a sling under my navel so it's not on my bladder and I can sit down, but remember I'm 6 foot 1 inch tall.

While I could wear it, it was awesome and helped with my stomach and back pain.

I tried this maternity support on in person a couple weeks ago but did not purchase because I thought it was too pricey. After trying on others that didn't feel the same, and even purchasing one from Babies R Us then returning it {too hot, too many pieces, too complicated}, I returned to the store and found out the Mediums were backordered *tear*. I came to Amazon and grabbed a medium, and received my package in less than 1 week. The packaging was not good. It arrived squashed and the band was outside the box but inside the shipping envelope. I'm desperate so I kept it and LOVE THIS THING!!

    CONS:
~ Price, but ultimately I'm finding that it's worth it.
~ I've heard from shorter women that it's hard to sit in. I am 6'1" and have no issue wearing it to stand or sit. I just make sure it's adjusted at the base of my stomach and not on my bladder.

    PROS:
    ~ soft, no pain points
    ~ breathable, not hot
~ adjustable, no noticable Velcro part, entire band is part of Velcro fastener
~ immediate relief. My ankles haven't swollen since I put this thing on! a-fricken-mazing. my back is not hurting, my stomach doesn't feel like it's pulling down at the top. I'm 32 weeks 1 day and baby is 3lbs 9oz if you're curious.
~ reversible. I haven't needed to reverse it just yet, but I do have a c-section planned and will happily use it to ease the discomfort and hold my belly parts in when necessary

I haven't used the hot/cold pack yet either but it's a great idea. I did stick my cell phone in there last night with great success though so I'm thinking that'll be an awesome kangaroo pounch for "stuff" when baby gets here LOL!

    Update 5/30/12:
I've washed it since and it washes well.

I bought this item at around 32 weeks because of SPD at first it was really helpful. My pain nearly disappeared and I found the belt comfortable. Unfortunately, the velcro portion stopped working after about four weeks...right when I needed it most and much too soon considering this was a pretty expensive product. I contacted the company because I felt the product was defective and should have at least lasted through more than four weeks of pregnancy. The company never responded to my emails. Great product initially but should last through one pregnancy and customer service is poor.

I am 18 weeks pregnant with twins and the Upsie Belly is worth the investment! It immediately relieved the strain in my lower back and completely supports my tummy. I ordered the medium and I think it will fit through my entire pregnancy, but with twins you can never quite tell ;) If you are wondering what size to order, go directly to bellybandit.com where they have a specific sizing guide that is super helpful. I was hesitant to spend the extra money for this product, but the all the stellar reviews were too hard to ignore and they are all spot on!

I purchased this maternity support band when I was about 28 weeks pregnant with my second child. I work in a hospital and am on my feet for many hours each day and occasionally overnight. This support band changed my life. Prior to using it I was experiencing a lot of back and stretching pains as the day wore on. This really helped prevent the pain. I am a petit women and I ordered a size small. I am now 36 weeks pregnant and it still fits well. I find that if it is positioned correctly I have no issues with it riding up. However, if i am going to be sitting for a long time (like in a car) I need to loosen it or take it off. I really liked that it goes underneath the belly and not over it. It adds extra warmth in the summer heat but it is not unbearable. I am overall very happy with this product and have recommended it to friends.

I am currently pregnant with twins-- about 32 weeks now. The Upsie Belly was ABSOLUTELY worth the purchase and was amazing with helping me be more mobile, reduce swelling, and reducing pelvic girdle pain. I wore it almost daily from about 22 weeks to 30 weeks. By 30 weeks, with twins, I was the size of someone at term with one baby. This is the point at which the band stopped fitting well-- I wish the band came in an extra large so it would grow with me some more. . .I can still get it to velcro, but if I bend over or sit down, the velcro pops open. So my advice is this-- if pregnant with a singleton, this is an amazing product and will probably last your whole pregnancy and is definitely worth the price for the amount of discomfort it relieves. However, if pregnant with multiples, the band just simply doesn't accommodate such a large abdomen and I really wish there were a larger size so that I don't have to buy a different brand of pregnancy support belt (which is what I am finding myself doing tonight) for the last month or so of my pregnancy.

The reviews were mixed on this, which is why I decided to submit my own. I am 7 months pregnant and just starting to need some real support for my belly and low back. This is just the right amount of support and comfort to help me get through my work day. I can sit comfortably in it and I can feel the relief on my low back and hips. The directions for estimating your size are on the company website and are right on. I got the large and it has enough room for me to grow. Thank god for this thing. Every little bit helps!
