What Bob Kauflin has done with these hymns allows you to hear them again for the first time. The words are brought to life by new music arrangements. Listening to this each Sunday on the way to church prepares my heart for worship.

In this day it is hard to find refreshing and revitalizing hymns. So many people think of hymns as boring, old and staid.

But as Colossians and Ephesians say's - "teaching and admonishing one another with hymns, songs and spiritual songs."

Bob Kauflin artistically takes some older texts and re-sets them to new music - but very effectively!

My run-away favorites on this CD are "The Look" and "Mercies Anew", which have caused me to tear many times while listening and contemplating God's grace.

This CD is powerful - the wonderful old hymns are done in a contemporary and yet inspiring manner - I find myself compelled to sing along and worship God; I cannot just passively listen. The hymns have been opened up to me in a fresh new way and make me feel drawn into the very throneroom of God. This is a must for your music collection.
