5.0 out of 5 stars God I love the vibes
This cd is amazing. Vibraphone, drum and bass and casio! It doesnt get much better than that. Pure loveliness all around. Bobby Hutcherson eat your heart out.

3.0 out of 5 stars Tight snippets in a loose process
Talented synergy of blasted vibes & drums will certainly sit well with Pierce fans but in the end feels a little too insular for its own good, rarely capitalizing on strengths with only a couple of selections truly rising out of the noodling category and into the elegantly structured one.

.there was a period of a few months were the big 'oh please do it again' of our apartment would be me putting on avila (track 1) and dancing around like a little bootie robot.

and the rest is good head-bobbing, back at 37 degree angle, black sweater stuff. not that i know anything. you know, my university's got a gamelan ensemble.
