I Highly recommend buying from Daniel's House!

The bento box does not come with an elastic band, but should be easily solved with hair band or DIY band.

It looks a little small but if you know how to pack food into a bento box it`s perfect.

I use these for myself & my kids all the time. They can hold way more food than one would think possible. Many times, I only use the large compartment, instead of both tiers. My kids are constantly asked at school, "Where did you get those cute lunchboxes?!" I tend to use the red one for myself because it makes me giggle. I KNOW the character is supposed to be a bunny but, it looks like a space alien. Plus, on the lids of all 3 colors, it says "U RA RA Lube Sheep," I believe that is Engrish for 'Ooh-la-la, lube sheep." It just goes along with the joy of Bentos, in my mind; presenting the food in such a way that makes you grin - food tastes better when you are smiling. I actually bought a bunch of different styles of Bento Boxes, some very expensive and I just keep going back to these ones. I recently gave all the pricier ones to a co-worker because these work better for me. I also reccomend getting a few goofy accessories to go with these beacause of the grin factor; "cupcake" pics, craft punches, cookie cutters, and cake decorating supplies are generally less expensive that accessories that are marketed for bentos.

I got a bento recipe book and did not have a bento box to try them out on. Given that I wasn't sure I would like, or keep using one, I didn't want to get a real expensive one. This is definitely nothing fancy, looks okay, not too childish or anything but it is two empty containers with lids for the top and that's it. But, it holds more food than I would have thought and having two stacked containers like this replaced what would normally have been three or four separate tupperware containers.
If you're interested in trying out the bento box approach to lunches this is as good a starter box i think that you could get.

My kids love this, a little smaller than expected, but I still like it alot.
need some band to keep it closed that is why I only give it a 4/5. Other than that, real cute and good product.

got these for my son. they are small but then again my son is four years old. they fit perfectly in a bag and my purse when i just need to get some healthy snacks to come along on a trip to the park. he knows how to seperate the tiers and eat with out any hassel. the piece comes with a small elastic ban that holds it together. which you must understand the band is all that holds it together. so do not lose the band. also when you put it in your purse or bag you want to make sure no liquids are in it. because its not made for anything with juice.

People who review that this bento is too small obviously don't grasp the concept of how to fill them. These boxes are meant to be filled with a lot of small food and packed in tight.
I think they're the perfect size and the bottom tier is generously deep. I believe this is technically a 3 tier box, as the lid has a little storage. It's perfect for the little fish shaped soy sauce bottles I also bought on amazon.
I usually fill the Top tier with fruit and the bottom tier with my "main dish". There's ample room for a serving of sushi and rice. Or some meat and veggies or a lot of other things.

The only downside is that this box does require a strap, which they do not include. I made my own strap for practically nothing using some felt and velcro I had laying around.

Item arrived in 2 days, well ahead of schedule. It was well made and a great item for the price I paid (5 dollars at the time). I purchased it from ALL THINGS FOR SALE so item came with a free bento elastic belt, which is essential to keep the bento box closed. My only complaint is it doesn't come with chopsticks included, but I cut down a pair of bamboo ones to fit so no problem. The box is small but thats expected and packed correctly it holds a filling lunch, just enough for my needs(between 300-500 calories). I would buy from this seller again.

There are two of this family of bento boxes: this is the rabbit, often viewed as "aliens". So cute (and I'm not really into the cuteness aspect of bentos) and just the right size. I love it!

This box may seem small if you're used to American lunch boxes- but part of the idea of bento is that you pack things in pretty closely. It holds more than you would think looking at it. I have sometimes used only the upper, larger box to hold my lunch. It fits easily into my backpack or briefcase. I have an elastic to hold it together and have had no problem with leaks, but I always put it in a small plastic shopping bag for extra safety. I also put really liquid sauces into a separate small container or one of those little fish bottles you can find among bento supplies.

Very cute bento box. Bought for my children's lunches in the hope that the novelty of a nicely laid-out lunch will encourage them to eat better. This box is inexpensive and pretty. The top and the bottoms do tend to come apart, but as both have separate lids it still works. It would have been great if it came with a strap to hold them together. Otherwise, just as expected!
