This book is excellent both for the person who would like to read a good story to children as well as someone who wants to practice reading the hiragana that accompany the English text. Beautifully illustrated, it is a pleasure to look at.

Fun books, and a simple but effective learning tool,

My father recently started studying Japanese, and I wanted to help him however I could, and one way I knew was a good way was to get Japanese books. I've traveled to Japan before, but obviously it's not very realistic to go to Japan each time I need to get some books. I was very excited to see that I could get old Japanese stories on Amazon with both English and Japanese text. The books got here on time and they were in very good condition--my father was happy to get them.Computer language programs are nice, but sometimes they are wildly expensive, and aren't all that good quality of a learning tool. But books are a usually less expensive way, a more effective way, and a fun way to learn languages. If possible it's best to have fun when learning something difficult. So thank you for having these books for sale. I'm very happy that I could find them--and these are some of my favorite old Japanese stories.
