4.0 out of 5 stars Nicer than expected
The gloves themselves appear exactly as shown. They are a scratchy wool outside, "leather" enhanced palm, velcro catch to hold the mitten flap back and out of the way, and what you don't see is the fully lined fleecy-sort-of interior. They're very soft and warm inside, not drafty as many knitted wool gloves are. They feel pretty durable, but I have to admit that after...

They're very soft and warm inside, not drafty as many knitted wool gloves are. They feel pretty durable, but I have to admit that after about a month, the thumb had worn through and the fleece inside cuff had come unstitched. I thought it had to be just a faulty product, and I contacted the company. They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to send me a new pair without having to return the first, they contacted Amazon to get my order info., and then expedited the new gloves to me. I've only had the new pair for a day, so I'll come change this if they fail also. Otherwise: nice, comfortable gloves (especially for the price) and the Urban Boundaries customer service was awesome.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, January 1, 2008
This review is from: Urban Boundaries Men's Ragwool Convertible Fingerless Glove/Mitten (Available in Sizes S/M or L/XL) (Apparel)
The gloves are fleece lined with wool knit outer layer. Much better than the ones you would buy at urban outfitters, and very warm. The only down side is that the thumb always remains covered.

2.0 out of 5 stars Way too large, very scratchy, December 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these gloves as a gift for my friend and even ordering a S-M in size they are HUGE and unpractical as fingerless gloves, where the point is to be able to use your fingers and be functional. The inside is very soft and warm, so if you want to keep your hands warm while unable to use them (which can be the case, just not with fingerless glove/mittens). The outside looks cheap and is scratchy. I wish I didn't take them out of the bag so I could return them.

2.0 out of 5 stars loose weave, not warm, not !00% wool = not ragwool, December 22, 2008
By
This review is from: Urban Boundaries Men's Ragwool Convertible Fingerless Glove/Mitten (Available in Sizes S/M or L/XL) (Apparel)
Company lied on the description. The product description states "ragwool" but the label states 80% wool and 20% nylon: this is not ragwool!. They are not warm at all! The weave is loose and the wind goes right through the gloves. I expected a heavier wool and tighter weave. The lining stitching came undone after second wearing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Verry nice, May 1, 2008
This review is from: Urban Boundaries Men's Ragwool Convertible Fingerless Glove/Mitten (Available in Sizes S/M or L/XL) (Apparel)
Well... these are AMAZING they look like they do in the picture... they are super cozy and they are pretty nice all round.

they seem to run a little big. i have normal sized hands and they are a bit loose... but i guess that happens with 1 size fits all... the mitten part is nice too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Convertible mittens, February 16, 2010

We bought these for our granddaughter, a figure skater. She loved them. When covered, her finger were kept warm. When the end was folded back, she was able to tighten her laces. A clever and useful item.
