5.0 out of 5 stars Believe Me !!
I don't understand why this album is rated so low, its been one of the best works by the group. I have been a fan of this album for 14 years now !! I still can't wait to listen to it !!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing!
I bought this album on CD when it was first released. I compaired notes with a copy of this album on LP, amd Ross Jr RUINED this classic album! The songs "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," and "Boot Scootin' Boogie." should have been on the Low Places CD. He totally ruined "I love a Rainy Night" by putting dialog all over the song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Clean Family Fun, February 24, 2006

This is really a great album. I remember listening to it on vinyl (still have it) and then buying it on cassette when I was in high school (I love it that much). I'm not sure what changes have been made between the LP and the CD, but the best songs are on there and if this album is new to you, it's a great one for the kids. Plus, since a lot of the songs are variations of good songs we already know, it's not nearly as obnoxious a children's CD as others that are out there. You could actually handle listening to this one a couple times on a car ride. I could listen to it over and over again.

Love, love, love this!!!! Grew up with the record. Hoping my daughter will enjoy it as much as I did/do. But to be honest, I bought this for myself anyway!

I have to give this 5 stars. This was the very first CD I have ever owned. I bought it way back in 1992 or 1993? I didn't even have a CD player but I had a Sega CD that I played it on. I loved this CD when I was 13. It had some pretty catch songs on there like Lunchbox with Jerry Reed. I really like it and finding this brings back old memories.

For those that want the classic album, can look for it on line. The original LP had Brenda Lee singing "Made For Each Other" with Alvin, as well as "Back to the Basices of Love..." Please Ross. Stop ruining the oruginal LPs.

Sorry Alvin you srruck out with this re-issue. Bagdasarian made a mess of this one....

3.0 out of 5 stars DID NOT HAVE SONGS PROMOTED, February 5, 2009
This review is from: Urban Chipmunk (Audio CD)
THE CD WAS ADVERTISED TO HAVE "LUKENBACH TEXAS" AS ONE OF THE SOUNDTRACKS, IT WAS NOT ON THIS CD. THAT WAS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I ORDERED THIS CD. THE CD DID ARRIVE IN A TIMELY FASHION AND WAS IN AS GOOD OF SHAPE AS WAS EXPECTED.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brings Back Memories, September 27, 2002

I remember listening to this album on tape while my Mom, sister and I went on long trips. Now that I like country music, it makes the songs even better. I plan on buying the CD as soon as I'm done writing this review.
