(First off. I have had the album for a while, but I just wanted to leave some advice to those who haven't.)

I felt this was a good mix effort by Aphrodite - who is called the king of jumpup drum and bass.

Even though he is a great producer of orginal music, this is a good, fast-paced album.
The placement of the songs on the album also flows very naturally, something that doesn't always happen on a mix album.

My favorite track has to be:
"Flava for Rava" with 3 MC's on it - MC Shabba, MC Fearless, and MC Det. It is a worldwind of rhymes.
Also has the classic old school jungle track "Orginal Nuttah" by Shy FX and UK Apache. (A must listen, if you haven't before.)

Overall, I would say -- this album is a good buy if you are into the genre of drum and bass.

This is one of my favorite cds- If you like jungle/DnB, you need to have it! Flava for Rava & Whatever's Clever are my favorite songs, but all are great to listen to. This is a definite must have!

I've been listening to Aphro for years, and have luckily been able to see him spin a few times. I picked this up eagerly and threw on the headphones, and after getting through the first 5 tracks all I could say was "What the F***"?. It didn't feel like the Aphrodite I knew, and I was slightly pissed. Anyways, paitence paid off. As soon as Track 6 started off with spanish guitar of all things, I knew it couldn't be a total loss, and in fact, it's way better than I expected.

Most of his previous releases I felt went a little too far with the sci-fi effects. And here, finally, he blends them effectively into his breakbeat. He's grown up. And I'm a happy boy. Give it a shot. Track 6 and on will not let you down.

This is not the best Aphrodite cd. Too much rapping/ rasta BS. Used is an ok buy, but I would be dissapointed if I paid full price.

I got this mix back in 2003...its still bloody top notch. The track selection and sequence is a brilliant concoction of MC vocal tracks, smooth R&B vocals, old school classic cuts and bang-on contemporary choons. The track i fancy most is "Flava For Rava"...

This is a great album, but I must say that Aftershock has a couple of better tracks, though altogether this is a better dnb album... Whatever album you choose, you won't regret

Aphrodite at his best. Aphro can be cheesy(albeit in a charming way), but this one is lovely. We all adore this album. Between this and DJ Markys Movement album you've got yourself some of the best recent d n b you'll find outside of a club.

Aprhodite blends drums and cymbals into a rythmic pattern that you will be addicted to for days to come. I myself listen to the full album at least once a day. If you liked Aphrodite - Aphrodite. Then your going to love Aphrodite - Urban Junglist.

Some good tracks, I'm partial to #4 with Skibadee. I still say that Takeover Bid is his best. If you're new to jungle, or you have heard parts of this cd, Check out that cd instead. The difference between that old blue cd and this one is continuity. That cd flows brilliantly from one track to the next without one dull moment, whereas in this cd the tracks seem more isolated and, in my opinion, has some subpar choices. But if you you already have that other one and can get this for only a few bucks, go for it.

This is one of my favorite cd's- if you are reading this right now and like dnb, buy it!
