IF YOU'RE A MUSIC FAN YOU'LL LIKE THIS CD, COMES WITH SOME HARD BEATS AND ALSO SOME STRONG LYRICS. SOME OF THESE SONGS ARE DEEP, FROM THE EYES OF SKATTERMAN & SNUG BRIM TALKIN ABOUT THE STRUGGLES OF LIFE AND THE GAME. BUT IT ALSO HAS SOME CLUB JOINTS. SO IF YOUR A HARDCORE MUSIC FAN YOU'LL LIKE THIS CD, OR IF YOU'RE A TECH N9NE FAN YOU'LL LIKE THIS CD.

Being from the 816, i can most definately relate to skat man and snug. But the beauty of this album is that anyone can relate to the message they send. Also, anyone can enjoy countless hours of their music. If you're showing this album to someone whos never heard skat man and snug before, play track #2 (Block Party) first and after that they will be hooked. I thought i told yall bout KCMO!!!! Skatterman Snug Brim shut this mothaf%$*er down...

This esh is amazing. Go buy it or download or whatever just listen to this sh*t. Its crazy, especially with the guests - Kutt, Kaliko, Tech, and BG. Skatterman and Snug Brim are crazy lyricists, theyre up there right under Tech and Kutt. I hope they come out with a new cd sometime early next year and Tech N9ne better hurry up with Everready. I cant wait til next spring. Now go buy Urban Legendz and pick up Kutt's B.L.E.V.E. along with it.

The new cd from Kansas City's own Skatterman and Snug Brim is a roller coaster ride of life in the streets. With songs to fit every mood this cd is perfect to listen to on any occasion.Front to back it is full of bangers. I beg anyone who has never heard them to get the cd or see a show and you will be hooked. Solid production and guest spots from labelmates Kutt Calhoun and Tech N9ne help to secure this cd's place as one of the best of the year!

Seldom seen but often heard, urban legends carry with them an undeniable mystique. In the rap world, Skatterman & Snug Brim are Kansas City's urban legendsThe album is a collection of street stories,Everything is being told from an urban aspect The celebratory, feel-good vibes of "Block Party" notwithstanding, the rest of the album sustains a largely serious tone. On "Car Wash," Skatterman & Snug Brim detail the sometimes shocking events that transpire at Missouri car washes, while on "Murder By #'s" they swear by the code of the streets. Elsewhere, the rhymers give multiple meanings to street slang on "Pakman" and blast fake rappers on "U Not Mafioso." "Crazy," one of the album's standout tracks, features Skatterman & Snug Brim rapping about the monumental struggle in their own lives. The captivating, compelling cut gives each rapper's story a personal, vulnerable perspective rarely heard on rap songs. On the whole the CD is worth the money and a must listen to the lovers of music.

You Definately Need This!!,

Let me start by saying that this cd is definately well worth the amount you pay for it! This album is gonna make these guys a house hold name. It has a lot of tight beats and some real, tight, deep lyrics to go with it. The whole cd has great flow, not only in the lyrics but with the beat and from track to track. You can play this cd non stop and not get tired of it like you can with a lot of cd's that get put out these days. The light-hearted tracks that'll get your party jumping would have to be "Block Party" and "Shut It Down". It's real easy to get everybody into those songs even if they havn't heard them before. The serious songs that you can feel where they're coming from are: "Heart and Soul", "Crazy", "Pakman", and "Life in the Game". Those tracks talk about the struggles they faced growing up in the streets of KC, Mo. |
