5.0 out of 5 stars Simply the Best !, June 16, 2001
By Eric (Paris, FRANCE) - See all my reviews
PHIL COLLINS IS NOT DEAD ! I think that it's a great idea for these singers (which, for some, don't really know Phil Collins for sure)to sing these great songs ! Our parents were dancing on the original, now, it's the new generation's turn ! Phil says that we can't turn back the years, but with this album, it shows that he was wrong! Now, buy this album, and turn back the years with a new sound ... PS: My favorite one is "against all Odds" From the same named movie ... Now, Think once, it's just another day for you and everybody in paradise !

3.0 out of 5 stars Stick with the original..., July 11, 2003
By tommut (Raleigh, NC) - See all my reviews
This album is okay but a lot of the songs don't really add anything new to the original. I don't mind tribute albums if they try to expand on original ideas and not just say "let's just R&B-ize the songs". When I listen to this album, I usually just end up wanting to play the Phil Collins albums instead.

Also, just out of curious, why does TQ change the lyrics in All of My Life to "Said Enough" instead of "Set 'em up"? Do these people not have the original lyrics? Well, I guess I did say I didn't like it when people were just derivative... ;)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good and Bad, August 31, 2001
By Clifford P. Stump (Bradenton, FL United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
For the most part, this cd is good. Another Day In Paradise, In The Air Tonight, One More Night, and Can't Turn Back the Years are EXCELLENT. But when I got to Brian McKnight, I could not help but induce myself to vomet after suffering through the way he butchered the beautiful ballad 'I Wish It Would Rain Down (On Me)'. But other than that, it's a great cd!

4.0 out of 5 stars Its not as bad an idea as it sounds!
OK OK so a Phil Collins tribute featuring the stars of R+B and hiphop sounds like a silly idea but it pays off. Track after track of easy listening, great tunes throughout. Read more
