I bought this for my wife's birthday, and she just loves it (as do I).

I did some extensive research before purchasing a chiller, as our last one (used freezer packs) died and was a pain to use. I looked into the models that refrigerate the wine, but every one of them I could find are poorly reviewed as they either don't work at all, or take forever.
For this unit, all has been good for the several bottles of wine (and champagne) we have put through it. The base accommodates most normal sized wine and champagne bottles, though bottles with a very large base will not fit.

The box is interesting, as the only place they list the "Urban Trend" brand is in very small print next to the company address. The instructions do not seem "US" oriented, with measurements being metric. That's not a big deal at all, and you really don't need to measure the amount of water or ice you put in it.

I wouldn't purchase this model (or ice fed wind chiller) if you don't have an ice dispenser in your fridge, as I imagine it would be a pain popping all of those cubes out of a tray. Just fill the back of the unit with ice (door is slightly flimsy but I didn't feel like I would break it). Then fill the front with water until it flows up to the mesh area where it mixes the water with ice.

I found it odd that the unit doesn't have an on button; you have to hold the spin button down for 3 seconds. It has buttons for different wines (and champagne) you want to cool, so the "computer control" can know how you want to cool it. All the buttons really do are timers for whatever you put in there, but useful none the less. The front display is a bit washed out and hard to see, and is 100% pointless.

I purchased this as an "Amazon Warehouse Deal" at about 1/3 the price it is listed for "new." I couldn't tell this as any different than the "brand new" product; if it was a refurb or open-box item, there was zero evidence of it, but the price was way too good to pass up. Had I known it would sell out, I would have bought a bunch of these as gifts.
