I've written the company and hopefully they can help me figure out how to make this work.

I wouldn't mind that so much if it worked, but it clearly is not worth the trouble.

Great concept... just doesn't deliver. The install of the grid is much more complex than explained. The 10X10 grid doesn't work on walls with standard 16" studs; after the first mount, the frames never hit another stud. The frames are flimsy and combined with the weight of the plants (per instruction with lava rocks) the whole structural system just fails. The magnets are very weak and the containers crash to the ground (especially the containers with a single contact magnet). After two months of struggle I pulled everything down and replanted in standard pots for my windowsills.

I am an avid supporter of entrepreneurs and grass roots efforts, but cannot overlook the fatal flaws of the system and would not recommend this product for the average consumer. That said, I have one slightly used Urbio Big Family for sale...

The magnets seem really strong. However, once a plant is planted (per Urbio's instructions), the urbio hangs to my fridge VERY precariously. A small bump would dump the entire thing to the ground. Really am pretty disappointed.

I love the idea of this - we installed a partial set a few weeks ago (two magnet boards and three containers total). It holds smaller, lighter items really well, and it even seemed capable of handling a small aloe plant (in the big deep one that has 4 touch points to the magnet board).

Then, I made the mistake of giving the aloe plant some water. Not a ton mind you, just a little drink. I carefully repositioned it on the wall. Apparently, not carefully enough. I walked away, and about 5 minutes later - BOOM - the whole thing flies off the wall and knocks the other containers off the wall on the way down. Dirt everywhere, a huge mess. This is asinine. If it's advertised to plants, it has to be strong enough to hold plants without creating a huge mess. Back it will go.

Oh yeah - and one more thing - the color is absolutely NOT a bright white like the pictures online suggest. It is kind of a dirty white instead. I wouldn't mind that so much if it worked, but it clearly is not worth the trouble.

Brought 2 sets of the Urbio and spend over $350.00. Although it looks great for the short few mins it stayed on, the plants keep crashing down. I follow instructions and after the 3rd plant fell, i remove all the pumice and that did not help either. Magnets are just not strong enough! After a few house of cleaning and stressing if will set off my alarm system if it fell when i am not home, i decide to remove the entire system. Now i have to patch up the holes and re-paint. NOT worth the money and effort. Good for pens and pencils maybe but not as a planter. Very disappointed.

I first heard about Urbio from a design blog and thought the product was interesting, so I purchased a single pot (a Shorty) to use on my fridge. I was very pleased with the pot and purchased the Big Happy Family a week later. After having the Big Happy Family in my living room for two weeks I couldn't be happier. The plants brighten up the room and I seem to smile every time I walk past! (and rearrange of course:)

When 6 of the 7 reviews were written by people within the company! It may be a good product, but until it gets some legitimate feedback we'll never know! It's also way overpriced, but that's just my opinion...others may find it affordable!

I was pretty excited about the product and getting going with it, particularly as the installation seemed pretty easy from their video and PDF file on the website. Unfortunately, like other reviews have mentioned, it's more difficult to install than it would appear. This is primarily due to the poor quality of the wall anchors, which haven't worked well. They've all stripped with a minimal amount of screwing or broken completely upon insertion. I've written the company and hopefully they can help me figure out how to make this work. It looks like I'll have to go out and get sturdier wall anchors if I want to make this happen, which is very disappointing.

I love this wall system for organizing. It got everything off my desk and into cubbies. It's not only super functional but also pleasing to the eye. The only thing that I can complain about is the "guide" inside that shows you where to put the screws. It's becomes inaccurate, probably due to the fact that it's a folded sheet of paper, and drilling holes over and over again becomes kind of a nightmare.
