Spoon-bending psychic Geller puts aside mind power and paranormal science in this self-help-oriented guide to understanding one's personality. He explains his concept of the nine basic life signs into which everyone's personality can be categorized. When people can identify this sign, says Geller, they are better able to understand their individuality and make positive changes. He splits life signs into three groups: Feelers (who act on inner certainties), Thinkers (intellectuals who work things out, but may not act on their knowledge) and Doers (who take action even when there is no rationale for doing so). Each of these types has various qualities both positive and negative and by recognizing these characteristics, Geller asserts, people will be better able to cope with stress and also have more affirmative dealings with other people. The catch? In order to determine their life sign, readers must complete a 144-question survey. The questions pose imaginative choices (e.g., "Which of these fictional characters do you prefer: [A] Robin Hood, the bold outlaw, or [B] Little John, the outlaw's faithful friend?"). After the analysis, Geller focuses on how people can have happier interactions with others and achieve more in relationships, work, financial goals, etc. but he only lightly touches on how the life signs apply in this section. Readers who are able to recognize their own personality traits will be intrigued by this system, but the daunting survey and complex rating symbols will undoubtedly put off some. Still, Geller's advice is sound, if unoriginal, and its touchy-feely angle neatly rounds out his science-heavy repertoire. Photos, illus. But Geller groupies are probably the only ones who will buy it the book is too intimidating for the uninitiated reader.

I combine Chinese Astrology with my life sign which is the Magician. As a dragon in Chinese Astrology I am a good parent and provider for my family. Discover your personality type by taking a fun questionaire at the beginning of this book. Colorfully illustrated every page making it a joy to read.It will change your outlook on life and help you develop more meaningful relationships.

As soon as I received the book I could not put it down. I read it within a week. It has some really inspirational things contained in the book. It made me realize that we are all human beings going through of the same things, maybe in different circumstances but we still experience similar things. It helped me to see that my bad traits as well as my good and by looking at the type of personality or cycle I was I could then start making positive changes in my life.

I will always keep this book by my side, for guidance and that little prop when I'm feeling unsure.

Most self-help books promise to change your life for better, but Uri Geller's "Life Signs" delivers what it claims. Unlike most self help gurus, Geller recognises that people have different strengths and weaknesses and avoids the cookie-cutter approach that tells people to act a certain way without acknowledging their individual differences. Best of all, by understanding your personality type, you work with your natural aptitude, not against it. This makes transforming your life an enjoyable experience, not a chore.

The impression Geller creates is that of abundance rather than lack in one's attributes. As he explains, it's no better to be an extrovert than an introvert for example, just different, each with its own set of advantages.. At long last here is a book that tells you what you want to know in doable steps. His down to earth instructions are guaranteed to raise the quality of your life if you follow them. Life Signs takes you on a unique adventure leading to self-discovery and insight into others. This creates better relationships and helps you to reach your goals.
