FOR URIAH HEEP FANS (AND NOT ONLY) - THIS IS NEARLY A RIP OFF, REGARDING THE FACT THAT ALMOST ALL "RARE PROMOTIONAL CLIPS" AND "UNRELEASED FOOTAGE" CONSISTS OF POOR FOOTAGE (AND POOR AUDIO) - WHICH I AM ALMOST SURE HAS BEEN ALREADY USED IN PREVIOUS DVD RELEASES (CLASSIC HEEP, THE OFFICIAL LIVE COLLECTION AND COLLECTOR'S RARITIES) AND PROBABLY IN BETTER(...!) QUALITY. MOST OF THE LIVE PERFORMANCES ARE LIKE A THIRD GENERATION VHS COPY TRANSFER MATERIAL.
I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE OTHER CUSTOMERS' FINE RATE IN THIS.
IT'S A SHAME THAT STORM BIRD LTD USES THIS WAY TO DECEIVE ANY BUYER. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN FOUR STARS IF IT WAS ONLY FOR THE BOOK (OBVIOUSLY WITH A MUCH LOWER PRICE) WHICH IS WELL WRITTEN AND CONTAINS EXAUSTING DETAIL OF THE BAND'S HISTORY. SO, ONE STAR FOR THE DECEPTION ITSELF.

If you are a fan of Uriah Heep, then I am sure you will enjoy it as I have. Disc 1 contains two parts - "The Byron Years", about 77 minutes long, and "Firefly and Beyond", running another hour. Disc 2 contains "Across The Sea Of Light" and "Friends And Relatives" each about 90 minutes. On Disc 1 interview snippets are inserted usually between songs, which add some nice insight to the band. The video quality is poorest in the second half of disc 1 with John Lawton. Nevertheless, it is a very interesting historical document of the evolution of Uriah Heep. Disc one contains performances from 1973-1984, while the second disc has concert footage from 1989-2004. John Lawton and Ken Hensley return to the stage and play along side with the rest of Uriah Heep once again in a special reunion performance. I have not yet read the book, which chronicles Heep's amazing story. Well worth the money, I do believe.
