This is not the Viking Metal for which Manegarm is known. Instead, the band returns to its Swedeish roots and puts out and accoustic album. In so doing, the band demonstrates that music can be as powerful played without amplification as that blasted out from walls of Marshall Stacks. The songs are mostly fast paced with clean, female vocals and just as full of passion and power as the metal which Manegarm usually deliver.
This disk also allows Manegarm to demonstrate the breadth and depth of their musical talent. These folks can really play. There are not many bands who can produce an accoustic album of such intensity. If you like Hedningarna and Garmarna, you will love Urminnes Havd. Manegarm have perfected what the aforementioned groups were trying to do.
As I said before, this is not Viking Metal and if that is what you want then Manegarms' other recordings will be more to your liking. That being said, this is a great, powerful album of Viking roots music which blows away all prtenders. Hail Manegarm!

This album is a departure from their standard deliveries, as the other reviewer has mentioned. One that i actually like substantially better than their other music. It is important to note that this album is squarely in the category of folk music, be prepared!

There are some really beautiful melodies here, enough to make it one of my favorite albums of all time (a title not to be taken lightly!). The skill behind all the instruments (specifically the fiddle) is flooring, and an inspiration to anyone who enjoys such things. The vocals are very impressive. They consist of a female and male vocalist, though the female vocalist is predomanint. The harmonies between the two are some of the best in all of music. Its rare to find vocalist who not only know how to sing, but know how to sing together.

Honestly, the more i say means a longer delay on you getting the CD. If you are a fan of folk, and even bluegrass, get it now!
