What can I say? A couple years of regular use for our espresso machine without the hint of a problem. Our machine alerts us when to descale so we keep up with regular maintenance. And the best thing I can say is we still appear to be scale-less. It's great to have these packets on hand.

I had initially planned to purchase this product from a local specialty coffee retailer but he wanted 3 times as much as the online retailer for the same product. No question then on where to make my purchase and the product was delivered within three days. I am very pleased with this transaction.

I had been descaling with other descalers for years from local stores. I got ahold of these and gave 'em a try and found that they actually work markedly better. I had descaled a tea-kettle several times and the element remained burned-looking and still had spots. I attributed it to age and thought nothing of it. I used this one and, suddenly, the coil was shiny chrome again and most of the spots had disappeared. Also, this was the first time a descaling actually resulted in visible flakes coming out with the dirty water (both in my espresso machine and my kettle). I will never try another brand.

I tried to find descaler for my Tassimo in several stores without any success. I ordered online and when it arrived I immediately followed directions to descale my machine. I guess I didn't follow the directions exactly because at the end of the cleaning cycle the descaling light was still lit. So after reading the directions again and HOLDING the brew button for at least 3 seconds, the descaling cycle began. I filled the reservoir to the Max line and added the descaling solution. It took more than an hour, but the descaling solution cleaned all of the gunk and scaling from the machine's interior and the dreaded descaling light went out. Beverages taste as good as the day I bought my machine. I'm happy! I use my Tassimo every day so getting a good-tasting cup of coffee is essential to my daughter and me. The 12 packs of descaling solution should last at least a couple of years, so the $$$ I spent is definitely worth it.

I've used one box (4pkgs) of this product and this is a reorder. Price wise, it's about what you'd pay in a big box store but with Prime Membership's two-day delivery you're getting an excellent price/deal and you don't have to deal with the hassle of going to the store and $3.59/gal gas.

I mix up the product, let the solution sit in the coffee maker boiler tank for a few hours and then start running the product through the coffee maker, five or six times. I pour the solution back into the boiler tank and strain off the debris. We're in an area of where the water is considered soft so we don't have a lot of dissolved solids to deal with and have to descale the coffee maker about once every six months. We use to live in an area with rock hard water and we had to use this product every month or two.

When the water starts taking time to come out of the boiler tank, I know it's time to clean the tank. The solution, if you work with it, this is a treat of a product. It's not a magic product. You do need to let the water set for a few hours as it's a mild acid, not a strong acid. After straining off the debris, reusing the left over product allows for a good cleaning of your hard water plated coffee maker. If you don't feel like playing chemist with other products, as some have thoughtfully suggested, this is an excellent product, at an excellent delivered price.

This is really just packets of citric acid. . . but. . . I like it. :-) For three boxes of 4-packs each. . .at the price I paid, it's very affordable. Not having to pay shipping (Amazon Prime) makes it even better.

Urnex Dezcal does what it is supposed to do! Descaling light was on, followed product directions. Descaling light in now off! I love my Tassimo.

Have only used once so far, but it seems to do what it's supposed to do. It's convenient to have the stuff measured out also.
