5.0 out of 5 stars A masterpiece of the ethereal, November 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Urthona (Audio CD)
Urthona is thre exactly mix of the beauty, ethereal, paranoic, mystereous, you can feel the music breaking up your soul, with the sounds of Olaf Parussen, the Voices and the cello Stoa makes of Urthona a poem of the other side of the music, with this CD this german group becomes in the most representative of this kind of music (dark ethereal), Urthona has the feeling of Blak Tape, the quality of Dead Can Dance, the charm of Human Drama, Excellent......

4.0 out of 5 stars Feel like a scene from birth to death, October 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Urthona (Audio CD)
I heard "Autumn" 5 years ago when I was 16. I was deeply struck and spent a couple of time emotionally. Stoa is special, not as the same as other bands of Hyperium. It seems that it contains Pessimism, displays a phylosophical story. When hearing it in the dark, I always feel hardly can breathe. Not so decorated, it is the music from the heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful and full of sorrow, March 11, 2000
This review is from: Urthona (Audio CD)
I was introduced to STA music by my friend, and from the moment I listen to it I could not stop my player until I went three times thru the whole tracks. Stoa music is not for easy listener, but is great to send you away to past, forgotten lands. It will induce emotions and long after you will be haunted by its beauty. I specially liked "Infant Joy", "Taumel" and "Stoa" tracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterpiece, February 1, 2004
This review is from: Urthona (Audio CD)
Being one of the first bands to introduce me with Gothic music it made me amazed. The voice of the singer is so clear and tender that your ears are eager for it more and more. I also loved the mystical sounds of the music and could hardly believe they were born from a synthesizer. All I can say is "magnificent, placid, mystical". The only pity is that there are so few people know about this miracle.

4.0 out of 5 stars Eerie and classical, January 22, 2000

Stoa's music has been unavailable for sometime. I first heard Urthona about four years ago. Their music is rich and textured, with hints of gothic and classical. It is an overall eerie and pleasant effect.
