Man, this is live Mayhem. We need some more reviews on this mother. The sound quality on this one is killer. Sounds great on my stereo at least. The guitar sound on the live tunes is just the way it should be: grim and chilling. Hellhammer gets my vote for the standout performer here. Thundering double bass lines with a snare that will shatter your eardrums. The preproduction studio tracks are great;no surprise there. But it is the live tracks that will make you glad you paid $$$ for this Black Metal ghoul of an album. Easy 5 star rating.

Note the sarcasm in the title of my review. This one is really great, and that's no surprise. Mayhem have been making good live releases since the dawn of their existence (well maybe not that long ago) but still, this one rocks. My only complaint is the lack of songs from De Mysteriis, but who cares. It's f*cking faster than hell, the guitars are mind blowing and the vocals are pretty chool. That's all there is to it. Get it- you won't regret it.

Mayhem have graced us with yet another great live album. It is the first live release that was recorded in the U.S., and includes songs off their previous full length release, "Grand Declaration of War." It is definantly worth buying, considering anything Mayhem puts out is classic. It is an amazing peice of work.
