Obviously "Us" was one of the songs which initially gained Regina attention, but as it's available on two other CDs, the real reason to buy this single is the aggressively lilting 6/8 oddity "Scarecrow & Fungus," which, among the more obscure b-sides in Regina's output, is one of the strongest.

You'll also get the unique Edward Gorey-esque cover drawing. These drawings were created for Regina's UK-only compilation MARY ANN MEETS THE GRAVEDIGGERS, and whoever came up with this approach to the graphics made a wise choice -- it matches the spirit of Regina's work beautifully, and makes everything associated with the GRAVEDIGGERS release (which this single is drawn from) have an aesthetically rewarding visual overlay.

If you're a big fan of Regina's and haven't yet heard "Scarecrow & Fungus," go ahead and buy this single, because, what the hell, it will probably be collectible someday. :)

This happens to be my favorite Regina Spektor song, and she added a second song to the single to make it even sweeter. Awesome single!

This is probably my favorite Regina album of all time (and I have ALL of them, so... seriously.. it's the best).
