Best Puppet Book I"ve Come Across,
This review is from: The Usborne Book of Puppets (How to Make Series) (Library Binding)
After going through several books on puppet making, I would have to say this is the best one I've come across. The directions are clear and easy to follow. Every puppet has a color photo of the finished product as well as color illustrations to guide you along the way. Most if not all of the puppets supplies are readily available and easy to find. Besides that they give you many different types of puppets to choose from. Not just the common sock and glove puppet. It even shows you how to make a manipulate marionettes. The book is most likely geared more towards older children, but adults can surely gain a wealth of information from it. You'll be making professional looking puppets in no time.

a good buy,
This review is from: The Usborne Book of Puppets (Paperback)
I bought this book because I work as an Environmental Educator, and working with children on topics such as the 3Rs, I found that to tell them stories using puppets made out of reusable materials is a great way of teaching the kids! The directions on the book are reasonably easy to follow, and there is a wide range of projects, from simple ones you can do in like 15 minutes, to more hard ones, where you need more materials and more time on completing them.
