This idealization of religion as a force for good in the world is completely unwarranted. So-called "religious ideals" cause terrorists to kill thousands of innocent victims every year. Priests molest children and get away with it. Remember the Crusades and the Inquisition? And while it is true that countries whose populations tend to be less superstitious also happen to be wealthier, this does not mean that people who are not religious are therefore materialistic by any means. I could go on, but I won't. This is just an alert to let free-thinking parents know that this book has a clear bias, and they might want to pass on purchasing it.
I don't want any child exposed to this rubbish, least of all my daughter, and so I'm returning this book today.
