Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
Used & New from: $79.95
Use On A Mac Hi, how is the video transfer from this camera to a Mac? I bought a canon and the hoops I had to jump through to get the video onto the mac side of my machine was ridiculous. I hate windows but have parallels because of a few apps that I have to run. But I want a simple drag and drop solution for the mac side. I avoid dealing w/ Windows like the plague! Thanks! Nick

The Zi8 saves in mov format, so its compatible with iMovie or Final Cut Pro. You can use either the built in USB arm or pop out the SDHC card and importing is easy.

All I do is take the sd card out, pop it in to my little usb dock plug it into the port on my imac and bingo the folder pops right up immediately, and can be viewed in full screen ,...it can also be used with imovie but that requires importing clips , creating thumbnails and taking up room on your disc, the first way is so much quicker and better !!! kodak goes great with mac, unlike Sony samsung and most others, dont know why.
