"Use Somebody" (4 tracks; 17 min.) starts off with the title track, a great tune, period. It is followed by an intruiging remix of "Knocked Up", featuring Lykke Li. The 3rd track is at times hard-rocking, at times more pensive "Frontier City", a track recorded during "Only By the Night" sessions, but left off from the album. It is a nice track, but I can see why it didn't make the final cut of the album. The last track on here is a remix of "The Bucket" (CSS remix), an older track that finds renewed life. This single also contains the video for "Use Somebody".
In all, this single is quite the nugget for die-hard KoL fans like myself, but for others it may be too far-fetched.
i had become a KOL fan since their very beggining, but with their Only By the Night album i had to admit (even when it hurts me) that they had become mainstream. I got this 5 track EP just because of the b-side 'Frontier City' which i have to say, it is good, but in the same way the Only By the Night tracks are, with the more produced-mainstream kind of touch. For being a KOL fan i have the urge to listen to whatever is new of them, hoping they would give something as good as their old hairy-mustach-careless style days, in this case it wasn't like that, but is not bad though. But that is why i bought this record.
Maybe you want to get this single only if you are really devoted to KOL, but otherwise, if you are expecting great songs like the ones on Y&YM, AHA SHAKE HEARTBREAK and BECAUSE OF THE TIMES, this is not a bit like that. And as of the other 2 songs on this EP, they are electro-dancing remixes of their old classics 'The Bucket' and 'Knocked up', which in my opinion, i stick with the original versions (i am not into electronic music and such).

There are two short songs on this CD....that's it! With shipping, it cost $10.98. For two songs??? The title track "Use Somebody" does not seem to be the full version. Read morePublished on February 25, 2010 by Metheniac
