I wish I found this book years ago!, October 13, 2011
This review is from: "The Useful Lie" (Paperback)
I highly recommend this book to anyone dealing with addictions yet do not feel moved to attend the 12 step Anonymous meetings that are so often pushed by the medical community & therapists. This book not only validated a lot of the doubts I was having but also offers real hope. The author did a great job!

A less useful lie, January 29, 2011
This review is from: "The Useful Lie" (Paperback)
This book deserves as much attention as it's $1.99 price suggests (although you could go to the Gospel Folio Press and pay $15 if you think it's worth more). Whether aloholism is a 'disease' is debatable. Even if it is not, why replace one useful lie with a less useful lie - ie religion?
