This book is completey useless to anyone who is programming J2ME. I'm developing applications for a company and bought this book to get insight into GUI designs in J2ME and this didnt help at all. This book is a list of unhelpful "rules" which seem outdated and usefull for phones like the old nokias and not anything that can take advantage of MIDP 2.0.
