Review

"This second edition is even better than the original. Information is easier to find and the additional resources that will be available at www.JAMAevidence.com will provide readers with a one-stop source for evidence-based medicine. 5 Stars!"--Doody's Review Service (Doody's)

Are the results valid?

What are the results?

How do I apply the results to the care of my patients?

From the popular Users' Guides series in JAMA comes a state-of-the-art book edited by Drs. Gordon Guyatt and Drummond Rennie, with contributions from more than 50 of the most renowned evidence-based medicine (EBM) educators and practitioners in the world. I have basically memorized much of this book for my EBP class in by doctorate program for physical therapy. However, I found it a bit of a hard read. Very compact information, and a different style. Perhaps style differences are due to the writing styles between the U.S. and Great Britain's (the author's).

As a speech therapy doctoral student, I find this book thorough, but the examples are not related to therapy, so I don't find them helpful. According to my professor, the books on EBP for therapy are not as good as this book.
