This should be a required text for everyone in medicine as well as for anyone who reviews medical articles. As a scientist, I am often dismayed at the poor quality of many of the studies conducted and even more dismayed when a study of poor quality is picked up by the popular press and reported as gospel. Equally disconcerting is when the results of a study are misinterpreted or mis-reported in reviews. I would highly recommend this reference to anyone who regularly reads anything in the medical literature.

Puedo recomendar este libro para quienes deben leer literatura médica, para quienes necesitan comprender y manejar las herramientas que proporciona la Medicina basada en evidencias. Es un libro didáctico, balanceado, claro y escrito magistralmente. Abarca todos los tópicos principales de su especialidad y está matizado con ejemplos muy ilustrativos. Sus autores son garantía de excelencia. A no dudar, es un libro que uno debe tener y leer .
