More About the Author

Patsy Clairmont's quick wit and depth of biblical knowledge combine in a powerful pint-size package. She helps you to laugh God's truths right into your heart. Her mission to provide humor and hope for healing comes from her own struggles. A recovering agoraphobic, Patsy speaks at Women of Faith conferences, addressing tens of thousands of women, and has written more than twenty-four books, including Catching Fireflies, All Cracked Up, and I Grew Up Little. She loves a rainy day, a good book, and a deep cushioned chair. Given a day off, she shops, solves the world's problems with a friend over lunch, and hugs the stuffing out of her two grandsons, Justin and Noah. Patsy and her husband of fifty-two years, Les, live in Tennessee.

This is an absolutely delightful read! Forget about your troubles as you tag along with Patsy on one crazy adventure after another. You'll be just as surprised as she is when you stumble upon God's lessons of love and wisdom right there in the middle of everyday life! So many times I laughed (out loud, even)...and thought, "hmmmm...God, I think this little piece of wisdom was written just for what I'm going through right now." It would lift my heart, leave a smile on my face...and speak to my heart of hearts, too.
I have especially loved reading this book when I was going through trying times. In the midst of the uncertainty & weariness of cancer treatment, I loved to curl up with "God Uses Cracked Pots" and read a chapter. It was such refreshment when I just didn't have it in me to do anything else. This book would be the perfect gift for a friend or family member that might be going through cancer treatment or any other stressful time...it's a great way to say you care when you're just not sure what else to do.

No matter who you are, what you look like, what your idiosyncrasies are, just how awful or weird you think you are--read this and a wonderful thing will happen! You will come out smelling like a rose. Patsy Claimont had come to a place where she wouldn't even get out of bed! Now she travels nation- and worldwide with Women of Faith and shares in the funniest ways how to accept yourself without being "perfect." What a woman!

The book I have of this has a different cover. Anyway, I've had this book for a long time, and it's great! Patsy Clairmont is funny, and I can only imagine what she must be like to live with! A great book that I like to go back to, and read, from time to time... Reading this book helps me to "lighten up" and NOT take life SO seriously!

God's Blessings to you and all yours, Patsy...and keep writing!!!

I found the stories enjoyable and fun enough to finish the book. The stories were not as spiritually helpful as her book, "Normal is Just A Setting On Your Dryer." In fact, in this book there is very little about God. Overall the stories seemed rushed and almost choppy at times. I do love her personality and will try some of her other books.

Hilarious and thought provoking! She uses humor to look at many of life's challenges using many of her personal life's experiences. Done in short story format. If you ever need a laugh and a "moral to the story" then this book is a must read. A timeless book.

I love Patsy Clairmont, she has the best sense of humor when it comes to Christian advise and just good reads. I have heard her in person and she's just as good in the written word. She cracks me up, and gives me a good lesson at the same time.
