Using GPS With Maps video a help, March 3, 2002
This review is from: Using GPS with Maps Video [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Using GPS with Maps was an impulse buy, and the impulse was good. If you are confused about how to relate the information your GPS unit displays to the map you are looking at this video may help. But it is a real help if you have a background in using maps and some familiarity with Longitude/Latitude or UTM before you start. Included with the video is a scale to help you locate positions on a map and the video shows you how to use it. There is a map reproduction printed on the back of the video wrapper which is also used in the exercises. If you have never used a map this video will not make you an instant expert. But if you already have a basic understanding of maps and coordinate systems this video will help you locate fixes on the map or take waypoints off a map and add them to your GPS.
