4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent refrerence material, July 20, 1999
By A Customer
This book serves as an excellent reference material for DOS users in addition to being a very good and comprehensive introduction to DOS for beginners. I found this book invaluable when I was trying to recollect arcane DOS terms and usages for instant use. This ranks as one of the best books on DOS that I have come across.

4.0 out of 5 stars If you need to learn DOS this is the one., October 24, 1998
By A Customer
If, for some reason, you need to learn an older version of DOS, this is an excellent book by itself or in conjunction with a course. There is a small exercise book that is available and it complements the book. Each chapter is written in an easy to follow manner and if you have the exercise book, you can test yourself too. DOS by itself doesn't hold the same importance as it once did, but its an important starting point if you seriously want to begin a career in IT.
