4.0 out of 5 stars Useful to Beginners.
Full of good "how to's". I had bought it for more advanced features, and was disappointed that it didn't get into more detail, but overall, I'm still satisfied with the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Using Outlook 98 - Padwick
This book was ordered solely on the basis that it contained a CD with the Outlook 98 program. Several internet sites internationally indicated this to be the case, so an order was placed. When the book was received, ther was no CD and a late chapter in the book indicated that none was enclosed (details were given on obtaining the program from Microsoft). While the book...

While the book appears to be up to the usual high standards of this Que series, it is entirely useless without the program. I will probably not order from Amazon again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too elementary, August 5, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Using Microsoft Outlook 98 (Paperback)
I bought this book hoping for the usual quality and thoroughness of the "Using" series. I expected an encyclopedic book and didn't check the page count. This is a comparatively thin "Using" volume and covers the basics reasonably well with lots of screen shots. I was looking for advanced information on how to set up custom outlook forms and maybe some pointers on how to do it well. This is not covered. I am surprised you could stretch the basic stuff in Outlook to 200+ pages. I don't understand why anyone would write a guide on using Outlook except to cover advanced applications.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great book to start with, but not for beginners., March 13, 2001

I found that the index is completely off. I went to look up editing a personal address book and the page took me to importing your personal address book. For a beginner this would be frustrating. The index says everything about a book.
