Review
It's about time someone produced a book about fishing in Utah. You have done an excellent job, even if you did give away some of my "secret" holes. I especially enjoy your Tactics about each water; identifying what flies and lures are most productive and when; this will be a great guide for everyone. Letting people know where to go and what USGS maps to use is an excellent idea. Your GPS guide is great. --
Wes Johnson, Chairman Utah Council of Trout UnlimitedSteve Cook has done what many fishermen would like to do -- write a book. A fishing book, of course. His subject is Utah. His book, "Utah Fishing Guide," is simply that -- a guide to fishing in Utah. In his book, Cook targets 150 Utah streams, rivers, lakes, and reservoirs, with a noticeable slant toward casting flies. For a personal touch, he put in GPS information, which makes it possible for those with GPS skills to find precisely where particular waters are located. The book does, in fact, fill a void. It gives anglers choices of more than 150 waters. To the newcomer to Utah or the fishermen looking for new fish and different techniques, the book is as valuable as the right lure. --
