5.0 out of 5 stars Best Yet!, May 18, 2007
This review is from: Utah's Incredible Backcountry Trails (Perfect Paperback)
I have been hiking Utah's trails for many years, and I am always looking for new places to explore. I have already looked through most of Utah's other hiking guides, and I have to tell you that this one is without a doubt the best one out there. It is informative, easy to read, the maps are excellent, and, most of all, the color photographs that illustrate the trails will blow you away. It is a little more expensive than the other guides, but definately worth it!

I got this book along with 10 other books from the library when I moved into the area. All the other books went back to the library but this one. After rechecking out like 4 times, I realized it was indispensable!
I have used this to make sure my family of three young kids does not miss anything. Also, I have used it to decide on and plan a few major adventures. I am confident that I will have done the best hikes there are out here. I love the detailed descriptions, logistics, maps, photos, and especially the ratings!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Leave Home Without It (for adventure in Utah)!, March 10, 2009

This review is from: Utah's Incredible Backcountry Trails (Perfect Paperback)
This is a great book with good directions and great photos. It covers trails that aren't in other guide books. I have one of David Day's earlier publications on hiking and 4-wheeling in Canyonlands National Park and have followed his directions to very enjoyable sites. I just bought this one and can't wait to try it out in 3 weeks when I go to Utah for a month. One of the good things about David Day's books are that he's "been there and done that." He's not an armchair guide book author.
