There are so many things one could write about this material that it is truly difficult to know where to begin...Any book that promotes unnecessary procedures via its contents, is a medical book to be avoided. Sorry Tulandi, et al, but you've let the medical consumer down with this mixed bag of goods on uterine fibroids & embolization. Uterine artery embolization does NOT require hysteroscopy and laparoscopy prior to UAE. How is it that a gynecologist was asked to write the chapter on fibroid embolization technique, anyway? Pictures are great. Content is truly lacking in peer review, appropriateness, and accuracy. I simply expected MORE. |
