College student Esther Smith, an ordinary girl with ambitious dreams, is transported to a future society, the U.C., in 3000. Inducted as Advisor to the mysterious Prince, Esther plots to investigate the dark secrets hidden beneath this "utopia," which appears to be a multicultural community living in peace and prosperity. The region bordering the U.C. - the slum-filled "Fringes" - is plagued with poverty and violence. Courted by handsome Advisor Alex, Esther must somehow reconcile the wretched "Fringes" with a "utopia" of cards. Is the truth and strength in her heart enough to save the Prince from his own downfall?

Brief Review of Utopica Cosmopolitan,

Theresa does an excellent job in laying down the groundwork for a plausible plot. In Utopia Cosmopolitan, she creates a futuristic fictitious setting to examine the social-economic problems. Theresa also gives a great treatise of the resulting senseless and cruel human conflicts.
The fictitious setting gives the reader a somewhat lighthearted look at some of the social political issues confronting us without the heavy-handed dogma presented as solutions. The storyline leaves the reader mulling over the issues and exploring deeper within on ways to mend those ills. A right mixture of suspense prods the reader forward and makes this short novel a page-turner. The well constructed romance takes the dryness out of similar subjects as are often characteristics of works adapted from governmental reports with recommended corrective actions.
