Peace,I originally found out about this book thru a friend who was trying to boost the self esteem of a beautiful little chocolate pre-school girl. The cute little chocolate girl when amongst her bi-racial cousins with their light colored eyes, light long straight hair, or wavy curly hair, and of course light complexioned skin, often was overshadowed an nearly ignored. My friend, married to an African Man together decided to get this book for her niece. She was able to purchase a much smaller (like 1/2 the size of a deck of cards) version for her niece, and kept the full size one on her coffee table. The book is artistically beautiful! I always remembered this book, and when needed an ideal gift for a good male friend of mine (from Africa), gave him this book as a gift! He's still thanking me for the book lol!
