Independent Hip Hop LIVES!!!,
This review is from: Uzi Does It [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
GBC represents the best Hip Hop has to offer. Apathy, RYU, and producer Scoop Deville create a consistent, bumpin' album that begs the question - What does the future hold for Get Busy Committee? Already, the three members have achieved much on their own, but listeners should expect great things from this rap super group. Deville's tracks are definitely throwback but without the pretentious attitude that many new "retro" tracks put forth. My personal highlights favorites Chillin' Out Maxin' which samples The Fresh Prince intro song; the title track, which is (as GBC explains) differently 'other' and Hurtin' Me So Much. Five star all around, GBC is for fans of any style or sound of Hip hop who are looking for something different that can be enjoyed crusin' in the car, chillin' with headphones, or out at the club.

High Quality Hip Hop,

This review is from: Uzi Does It [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
From the opening with "My little razor blade" to the end with "Come talk to me", Uzi Does It proves to be a stand alone album in today's hip hop scene.
The quality of the recording make you feel that this was a thought album... no "fillers" and there're tunes for ever mood. Personally I really enjoy the "relationship-on-and-out-anxiety-release" of "I don't care about you" (-I'm free to do whatever ever I want right now-). The beats are a cool mix of electronic sounds (ala The Prodigy maybe, like on "Chilin out Maxim") and traditional hip hop formula. But at the end of the day, It doesn't sound old or uninspired, but quite the opposite. The marketing campaign deserves it's own mention with the support of Topspin media and Ian C. Rogers. Check it on [...] Really cool record (has been in my iPod on repeat for days now!)

UZI DOES IT EVERYTIME!!!!,

This review is from: Uzi Does It [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
Uzi Does It is the album every hiphop head has been waiting for. When today's radio is filled with such garbage, The Get Busy Committee comes and saves the day. This album from top to finish is just raw real Hip Hop at its best. Ryu from Styles of Beyond and Fort Minor kills every track he spits on. Apathy with his grindy raw style is just perfect in this trio. and then there Scoop Deville, This guy can not only rap with the best of them but his beats on this records are just on that next level. This album is exactly what ive been waiting for and im pretty sure anyone else who buys it will LOVE it. Best songs on this album to me is "Looks like Magic" , "Little Razorblades", but really all the songs are just fire. This is an album where the Skip button does NOT exist. Album of the Year for me....
Uzi Does It... Jay Rod.
