glad to see it, but it's very inaccurate., November 1, 1999

I'm really happy to see a new book about V. C. Andrews, there are only three others prior to this, Faces of Fear, A Critical Companion and The Trivia and Quiz book. But this book has so many inaccuracies, Like it says that Simon and Schuster were the first to put out her books, which they were, but however, all of them were paperback originals first, so they all came out in Pocket Books first, a division of Simon and Schuster, the only exception is My Sweet Audrina, which was in hardcover first, published by Poseidon Press. And the page numbers are all wrong too. And it fails to mention that only Flowers, Petals and Web of Dreams were the only abridged audio books, it just goes saying that many of them are on audio, while this may be true, they are the unabridged and commercially, abridged are the ones that people think of. Then the biggest wrong thing of all is that it says Flowers in the Attic came out in August, when it was November of 1979, hmmmm . . .where the hell did the people who wrote this book get their information? I mean, I'm just a huge V. C. fan and a big collector of her things and I know all of this and more and was able to spot all the flaws in this book. But all in all, it's nice to see another V. C. book out there, I hope they do more, but I hope they're actually accurate this time.

Dissapointing, December 1, 2011
This review is from: V. C. Andrews: A Reader's Checklist and Reference Guide (Paperback)
For a real VC fan, this book was very disappointing. It only covers a few series - Dollanganger, Landry, Orphans. It was nice to see each series broken out into individual book summaries, but the descriptions weren't necessarily accurate or on point. If you are looking for a tool to help you keep your series straight, then this isn't your book. I don't know of a book out there that comes close to this unfortunately, but this book really isn't sufficient.
I was excited at the idea of having a summary to give me a refresher on the book as well as a place for you to keep your own log/reflections. This book could be a start, but there is a lot left to be desired.

Not quite what I had expected, July 2, 2011
This review is from: V. C. Andrews: A Reader's Checklist and Reference Guide (Paperback)
I was excited to see this as I have never seen it before and I collect v c Andrews books and audio books so I really wanted this. I at first noticed a high price for this book so I waited and finally got it for a reasonable price. I was dissapointed when I got it because it was such a small book. Great condition the seller kept their word on a perfect condition book but some things were not completed in it. There were one or two things wrong with the books listed. But all in all a good little book to add to my collection.
