not all it seems to be,

This review is from: V Flash Home Edutainment System (Toy)
The box it comes in is large and, I think, misleading. A memory card does NOT come with the system. There is no indication of this on the box, only in the owners manual. I discovered the memory cards are not carried many places but the web; and I live in a large city. If you have children, you know how let down they are when they get a cool new toy and now she has to wait for the memory card to be deliverd. So fair warning, pick one up at the store if they carrying them.

Waste of Money,

My 6 1/2 yr old son received this as a gift. Very generous of the giver, since it was an expensive gift. First off - like everyone else mentioned - games are super pricey. I love the fact that the discs are protected against scratching. Great idea! BUT...the graphics are very lame. If you are trying to impress even a 6 yr old, gotta try harder. Kids of this age have grown up w/video games around. I was not impressed. I was expecting something to look similar to the newer games, but w/a more educational content. I would not have bought this. My son has a Leapster which he's loved for years. Go for that if you are debating. It's portable, games are cheaper & it's more age-appropriate.

THIS IS A GREAT SYSTE! WHAT BENEFIT WOULD YOU GET FROM A PS2 OR AN XBOX? THE GAMES ARE GREAT AND EASY TO USE. THER IS NO TRICK TO PUTTING THE GAMES IN THE V.FLASH LIKE THE PREVIOUS REVIEW MENTIONED. MY 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER CHANGES THE GAME HERSELF. THE GAMES ARE FUN AND EDUCATIONAL. I REALLY RECOMMEND THE V.FLASH.

Okay, I haven't purchased this nor have I played it yet, which is why I gave it a neutral three stars. It does look a lot like the V.Smile. Before you purchase this, I would suggest you go and look at the reviews for the V.Smile. They aren't very good. I own a V.Smile and the handheld and it is a piece of junk as far as I am concerned. It has given me nothing but headaches and disappointed kids when it is played. I have almost literally thrown it through the wall a few times. Right now, the system itself along with the games and the handheld sit in a box in a closet because I can't bring myself to throw it in the garbage. I spent too much money on them. In my opinion, I wasted A LOT of money. Many people who have bought the V.Smile have had the same problems with it. I am anti VTech and will not purchase anything with that brand name because of this. I am sticking with Leapfrog. I have purchased leapsters and am now going to buy the LMax this year for my kids. I have never had any problems with those and so far, they are better than the Vtech, since ya know, they actually work!
