Good sound with the right size silicone,

This review is from: V-MODA Faze In-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphone with Universal One-Button Mic (Nero) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
If you are looking for reasonable sound at an reasonable price, I would recommend the Vmoda Faze ear buds. You will get acceptable highs and lows, but do not expect strong bass or transparent sound. Also the sound is a little dry and seems to have some emphasis in the mid to upper range. As for bass, at first I thought it was lacking. However when I selected a larger size of silicone (allowing the ear buds to sit further out and yet still fit well), the bass performance improved and could be typified as "tight". (Perhaps this change of space in the ear canal is a factor in tuning the bass reponse of the drivers.) Finally, overall construction is good. One physical feature I appreciate is that the cord remains straight and resists tangling. Give it a try!

I recently bought the Senheisser earbuds for $80 and had them about a month when I discovered they had fallen out of my car and were dragged about 10 miles and damaged. So first of all, if you have earbuds, try and avoid dragging them down the highway for 10 miles as this tends to damage them. Needing better earbuds than what Iphone supplied, I had to buy another pair, but obviously I can't be trusted with a $80 set so I opted for the Faze for around $50. I switched out to the largest earpiece because I learned from the Senhiesser that a tight fit means good bass. After a week of use, these sound as good as the senheisser to me so I am happy with the purchase, just sad I spent $80 on the senhiesser in the first place when these would have done just as well.

Best Consumer-Pro In-Ear Phones,

I remember listening to ipod headphones years ago and breaking those (which have horrible sound quality and range) and going through at least 4 other brands of in-ear headphones. The V-Moda FAZE headphones (NOT the headphone & mic version) are the best I have yet heard, broke (& fixed), and last the longest. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE to the layman consumer up to the aspiring audiophile on a tight budget. Don't let it's price fool you, she's got a bang with every buck you spend.Pros: * Deep lows and sparkling highs (Advertised Frequency Response: 18 Hz - 22 kHz) * Absence of outside noise & internal distortion * Durable (out of a year of use only had to re-solder the in-ear wiring, never had to touch the plug (I find this area breaks the most) * Multiple size "silicon fitting" ear pieces (it's what keeps them from falling out like Apple's standard iPod headphones) * Easier to repair than most in-ear headphones. Cons: * Ear pieces come off very easily (already lost a total of two within a year of steady use). * Headphone Access is glued (expect to use pliers/pipe-wrench to open up earpieces & re-glue) * Headphone Plug is completely sealed (although I haven't find this area break yet, should it, I will have to replace the plug entirely). I am a current music/audio enthusiast and a former music student.

Good sound w additional zap,

Over all, great headphone set. Sounds quality is great, not as good as my old Klipsch S2i Headphones. Silicone fit and grip well. As others already did review on this. Here's the additional zap I use this in office environment, carpet, and cloth chair. Everytime I adjust my seating position the metal ring from this headphone would touch my ear and give me a zap. Sometime it would distort the sound as well. The nice metal look does not justify for the zap at all. It just get worse overtime, I though I would get used to it. Apparently not. That's the only readon it get -2 stars

I bought these to replace some $3 samsung earbuds I had that were not quite great. I have another pair of vmoda earbuds I like a lot, but these aren't the same quality by a longshot, nor the same fit, or finish. In the end, I prefer the $3 earbuds I was replacing for one reason: the stupid button on these earbuds barely works. Maybe mine is just faulty, but it only recognizes about one in four times I push the button. It just doesn't work. My other v-moda earbuds fit me better too. These don't have that tight fit.I should also point out that the noise isolating properties of these earbuds are identical to those of every other rubber ended earbud. It means it makes a seal around your ear, but it does not have any noise canceling ability at all. In the end, I think these are probably the poorest effort by vmoda that I've experienced. I would not recommend them at all. If you are interested in these, just grab the $3 samsung version. Spend the extra $40 on some music.

I got my faze on a best buy thanksgiving sale for 20 bucks and for this price, these are awesome. I almost returned it thinking the sound was horrible until I realized, the standard silicone fit that comes out of the box is not ideal for me. I removed that and replaced it with the large fit and the sound coming out was 10 times better than before. If you are looking for bass, then these do a great job. Besides that, I am not much of a music person to tell you about responses to different frequencies. But suffice to say, most people wont have anything to complain. Cons: 1. The headphones are not ideal for active lifestyle. They come off your ears easily. Dont expect to workout in these.

Good earphones, noise cancellation works well. The only problem is that when the wire moves, you hear sounds in the earphones. Other then that, great earphones and sound quality, I recommend them to anyone.

Great sound, great fit, great price. I knew the quality of v-moda products going in and was not disappointed. The sound is so good that I use them for gps while riding my motorcycle, music while bicycling and phone calls wherever.

I love these ear buds. So much so that I'm thinking of getting a secound pair as a backup. I can't imagine life without them. Best sounding ear buds I've ever used, comparable to ear muff style headphones. Seriously like them.
