5.0 out of 5 stars nice replacement for ipod headphones
These are not really dramatically better than the standard ipod headphones. But they sound pretty good for non canal type earbuds, and are a good value for the price. I ride a bike in New York City so I need earbuds that will allow some outside sounds in, and these work well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent earbuds. Not worth the money though.
They are fairly comfortable, light, and they come with nifty little rubber thing that you can wrap the cord around to keep it the right length. But I thought the audio quality was lacking. These were merely average as far as far as earbuds go and I have another set that was about $15 that sound just as good. In fact, quality-wise they are nearly indistinguishable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Affordable Replacement for Apple Earbuds, December 26, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought a pair of Vmoda Remix earbuds to replace my Apple earbuds. I'm not a audiophile so I decided to try to find a good replacement for the Apple earbuds that wasn't too cheap yet very expensive. I read the good reviews of these earbuds and decided to try a pair. The audio quality is good, probably a little better than Apple's earbuds. I can't compare them to other manufacturers since Apple and V-Moda are the only two I've tried. They fit in my ears well and the rubber edge ring helps them from coming out. They stay on my ears when I go for a walk. I don't know how they will work while running. What I don't like about them is their weight. They are heavier than Apples earbuds and this causes them to be a little uncomfortable for me after a few hours. The other minor issue with these earbuds is the cable. The cable is stiff and doesn't lay flat easily. The cabling isn't soft and supple like Apple's earbuds. There is no collar to slide down onto the earbud ends to keep them together for storage like the Apple earbuds. The VModa earbuds seem to get tangled up more. Despite thse two minor issues, I purchased another pair for my daughter's iPod after having these for about a month. I hope these earbuds will last longer than the Apple earbuds, which for me lasted only about 6 months when one earbud volume failed.

2.0 out of 5 stars These are the worst things I have ever purchased! DO NOT BUY!!!, September 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had purchased these earbuds because I had lost my old earbuds. V-Moda is a company I trust because my previous earbuds were V-Moda Vibes, and they were equal, or possibly better than the Skull Candy 50/50 earbuds I had (possible because they are the same price). I thought, since these V-Moda Remix M-class earbuds were $50 when they came out, as well as the vibes, they must be pretty good, but boy, was I wrong.

Pros: high quality material (aluminum), sticks in your ears, and very nice treble.

Cons: NO bass or mid (crackly and such), fell apart in a week, the holes where the music comes out are in the worst places.

Yes, the metal is very nice, and the rubber used for the chord is high quality and easy to untangle. The little rubber length adjuster is just a thick, cheap, piece of fat rubber, that you rap your chord around to make it shorter, which sucks if you are trying to listen to music when walking, or exercising. It bounces around, and gets stuck to your clothes! Then, when you take the adjuster off, the chord makes a spring shape for at least the next few times you use them... The problem is that I took it out of my ear by lifting up the bottom of the bud, and the back snapped off! The two pieces separated! I was confused, so i pulled the other earbud from the back, and that snapped off with a light tug! What crap.

Next, like I said, the treble is great, but the bass is horrible. If you put on bass booster, the music sounds like fuzz and crackles. If you keep an equalizer off, the bass just sounds like... Well, it sounds like there is no bass. You can buy bass less earbuds, but they are high quality. One of the features of these earbuds has to do with its high quality bass. (False)...

Finally, the driver (or speaker) is in the back of an earbud. Then there are holes where the sound travels to reach your ear. On these earbuds, the holes are very tiny circles, that create a circle around the inside of your ear. The problem is, sound goes through the bottom/middle of your ear, not the outskirts... That is why the earbuds are very quite, and you don't get the sound you could possible receive... I recommend more in-ear earbuds, instead of the round circle ones that just sit on the shape of the ear.

Altogether, these are the worst purchase I have ever made when it comes to music! If you want reasonably priced earbuds, I recommend Skullcandy, Coby, Sony, or of you are willing to spend more money, Bose are really nice. The Apple ones that come with an i-pod are great, or even another pair of V-Moda earbuds, like the vibe, the vibe 2, or the bass freq. Just not the Remix M-class!

5.0 out of 5 stars clean and clear with exceptional quality, January 8, 2008
By
This review is from: V-MODA Remix In-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphone (Hot Pink) (Electronics)
just got the blue ones today ordered them 3 days ago. impressive service with amazon thus far, although im waiting for another item (shipped separately).

first, the quality is supurb. metal buds and plug feel solid. the blue is perfect, it doesn't match the player itself, rather the blue screen and buttons that light up on my sansa.

the sound. is very clean. it's not too bassy,(there are other models designed for that). the bass is clean and tight and well balanced, but where it shines is the mids and highs. better than the dennons (300 series), all the sonys ive ever tried, and of course, the stock ipods.
the physical feel is verymuch like the ipods, but they stay in better because of the rubber around the bud part. (keep in mind, they have 15 mm magnets vs 9-11mm in all the others companies. the bass is only produced by the seal of being in your ear canal) translation: for being a non-canal type earbud, the bass is tight and clean and can handle high vol. w/o distortion.

cons: yes there are cons but not great enough to lose a star over. the cord is sticky, so once it gets tangled, its more work to detangle. and if you live in a cold environment, the metal gets really cold thus brain freeze when you first pu

5.0 out of 5 stars Just really decent, November 22, 2011

Ok, there are 60 dollar ones that lock out noise, and have enough bass that you can feel it.
But.
The V moda remix m sound just as good or better except for the feel of the bass. They comfortably stay in the ear even with heavy exercise. I will not cry if I lose them. Since they are pink it is less likely that I will, actually, lose them. Oh, and I like to be able to hear something outside of the earbuds if I choose to.

2.0 out of 5 stars Discontinued and No Support!, July 15, 2011
V-Moda is no longer supporting these buds in any color since they no longer make them, regardless of any warranty. They will refer you back to the seller, which does you no good when you have a warranty and it's beyond returning to the seller, or you don't have that option.

With all that said - whoever said these are comfy and great for active people must have dumbo ears. Sorry, they don't fit my ears, and they hurt like a mofo! I have a hard enough time getting them in my ear, so forget about them staying in my ear when I'm bouncing around.

The cord wrap is a joke since these have the shortest cord in comparison to all other good ear buds I own. They come with lil foamy type covers that are torn alrready, or at least mine were (and that was what I wanted the manufacturer to replace and they won't even though they are brand new out of the package!).

They are not the best sounding buds. The buds that came with my Sansa Fuze sound much better and I never should've wasted money on a pair of V-Moda's buds.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price, not worth over $20, May 27, 2011
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these when they first came out years ago. The sound quality was great but the WIRE BY THE JACK RIPPED OUT IN DAYS after being plugged into my ipod. having paid $50, I was highly disappointed.

Now here they are again, years later, for a much more reasonable price. The sound quality is highly superior to the headbuds that come with your ipod, and they look is equally as impressive. For a price under $20, you can not beat this quality/value.
