4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Learning
My son received this game for Christmas along with 4 others for the v smile. This is one of his favorites. The game is rated for 5-7 year olds, but my 4 year old can play some of the games on his own. In one game, the screen shows a word that has letters missing and you need to find them in the order they go in. He has learned to match the letters so that he can spell...

2.0 out of 5 stars Try Other Games
My 5 year old son understands the concepts of this game, but this game is not nearly as entertaining as other 6-8 year old Smartridges from Vetech like Aladdin, Spiderman or Batman. The problem with this game is in the Learing Adventure mode. My son must solve 10-12 spelling words before he moves onto another "path" or level. He gets frustrated because he is on the same...

In one game, the screen shows a word that has letters missing and you need to find them in the order they go in. He has learned to match the letters so that he can spell the word. If your child knows their letters, then this is not a difficult game to play.

I bought this game for my 5 year old. She loves it and has played it so much I think she has all the answers on the mirror game memorized because they never change. She has other ones memorized but this one I have actually watched her ply the whole way through. That was the reason for the four stars. My 3 year old also loves it and seems to have a lot of the answers memorized also. They have some of the other games and play them all the same but this one is the only one they seem to have memorized.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son's favorite!, January 2, 2006

This is my son's favorite game. He loves Mickey Mouse. He's 3 so it is a little hard for him but he loves to watch us play it. He can do some of the shorter games like find the hidden shape, and magic mirror, but the long adventure is a little too advanced for him. It reminds me of Super Mario Brothers. He loves to point out the missing letters. He's already learned a few letters just by pointing them out to us. My 11 year old even likes it, although he probably wouldn't readily admit it.

I was happy to finally find a v-smile game that was a little more challenging than the 3-5 years games. My 4 year old who is at about a second grade level for reading and math really needed a game that was a little more challenging, but still content appropriate. This was the answer. I also recommend the Aladdin v-smile game as well for the same reason.

We got this for our Toddlers (2 & 3 year old) and they just love it. This is very educational and I can see such excitement when they play this! Worth the money!

2.0 out of 5 stars Try Other Games, March 5, 2007

My 5 year old son understands the concepts of this game, but this game is not nearly as entertaining as other 6-8 year old Smartridges from Vetech like Aladdin, Spiderman or Batman. The problem with this game is in the Learing Adventure mode. My son must solve 10-12 spelling words before he moves onto another "path" or level. He gets frustrated because he is on the same board learning the same skill for an hour or so and then finally gets to move onto a new level. Much too long to keep his interest, so this one sits on the shelf a lot. I would stick with the other games I mentioned above to avoid frustration.

Our little girl had mastered the other preschool programs and we were looking for a new game. Mickey Mouse was the perfect choice. Our 5 year old loves the games and we love all the different skills she building, while still having fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Keep to the age restrictions, January 11, 2007
This review is from: Mickey Mouse V.Smile Smartridge (Toy)
I'm sure this is a great v-smile cartridge but beware of the age restrictions. I purchased this for my 3 yr old son who loves Mickey Mouse however when I bought it, I didn't know it was for 6-8 yr olds. My son is way to little to be able to enjoy it now but I know when he gets older it will be great.
