I'm surprised there aren't any reviews for this album. I've been getting myself re-aquainted with Zapp recently, and Zapp Vibe is no exception. This, being the last Zapp album before Roger and Larry Troutman passed, showed that Zapp still had it after a firm decade. This trip takes Zapp IV and injects it with a double dose of electro-funk, and it sounds great. Whether from the talkbox/voice harmonizing on "Ooo Baby Baby", the recognition request from rappers on "I Play the Talk Box", or the funky instrumental closing of "Jake E Stanstill", this album has it all that Zapp fans have come to expect from the group. This is, in my opinion, a perfect closing for a classic group (that is until the comeback album, Zapp VI: Back By Popular Demand.)
