4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up, good still photos
I needed this to create still photos with a proprietary ID-making software. The drivers were easy to install. After installation, I plugged in the camera, and it registered itself on my computer. My ID software found it immediately. The picture quality is good, but I'm only using small photos that would fit on an ID. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is...

1.0 out of 5 stars Piece of useless V-Cam
This webcam is just a joke. Why? It says it is compatible with Yahoo!, MSN, Skype, AOL instant messengers for video chat. Now, we all know that during the chat, we all want to talk to the other persons. This "webcam" does not have a microphone and if you want it, you better go get a separate microphone (what a convenience, right?).

My ID software found it immediately. The picture quality is good, but I'm only using small photos that would fit on an ID. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I'm not actually using it over the web, so I don't know how well it performs as a webcam.

4.0 out of 5 stars No Microphone, April 18, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: V-cam Cmos Sensor Webcam 1.3MP USB 2.0 4MP Still Image Resolution (Personal Computers)
Great images, but you need to buy a separate microphone.
Amazon and newegg sells microphones from $3 to $big amount.

Cannot stand on top of laptop properly.

So, my recommendation to you is NOT to buy this camera. You should buy from Logitech, Microsoft insteads. Luckily, I didn't pay for it.
