We bought these to use with our 14 inch Acer Aspire laptops which are going to China. You don't want a combination lock . Read the reviews. They are all pretty much failure prone or pickable or frustrating to the point of non-usability . So this one is light, robust. The rub is it fits one Acer perfectly . The other needed a shim of a washer from the hardware store.About 10 cents. Buy 4 or five -you may lose them and you don't want to shop in another world, do you?You may need a longer length. Couple it with a Masterlock 3/16 Python x6' Locking Cable available at Amazon and hope for the best.That Masterlock is good for securing luggage and even large zipper pulls on trains , buses, and in hotels . Nothing is perfect , but light armor that at least functions is better than hoping for the best when you are in strung out travel mode .
