5.0 out of 5 stars Genuine Rockabilly, November 24, 2000

This CD rocks. If you want genuine, hiccuping, upright bass slapping, guitar twanging rockabilly... this is the CD for you.

I normally do not point out negatives in my reviews, but I am on this one.

They do a song that I hate on this CD. "Miss Popcorn Machine" is just a freaking odd song that I do not think works at all and simply makes me groan. It just comes off as dorky and makes little sense to me dropping 32 fords and popcorn into one big mess of goofiness.

Now, let me hit the positives...I got to say these guys really rock when things come together for them.

"A-V8 Boogie" flat out moves and is a pure hot rod classic in my opinion. These guys play very cool traditional rockabilly and have a very rough early sound to them.

I'm just trying to be honest on this one and in most cases I would not really even bother with a negative comment. I feel the positives far outweigh the negatives and hope anyone out there that loves rockabilly will give these guys a try.
