5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Drag Racing Game I've Played
Hey, here's five grand- go hit the local junkyard, and pick yourself out a jalopy. That is the premise for this game: build a project street car. You'll find a choice of over 20 car models in this game- and they all are rusting abused musclecars from the junkyard. Start by investing any cash toward performance parts. You'll find the various body, chassis, and engine parts...

1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware!
The new Hot Rod: Garage to Glory has a restrictive only 3 computer upgrade license. This means you are only allowed to install on another computer or upgrade 3 times and your game will cease to work. No other video game has this B.S. You definately shouldn't find it in bargain budget software. Beware of this limitation before purchasing. What happens if you need to...

You'll find the various body, chassis, and engine parts will increase horsepower, traction, and the looks of your racecar. When you go to the drags you'll race opponents for a wager. That becomes your income. Different drag race towns will open up as your reputation increases.
All in all, I've discovered a game that is easy to get into, with great sound and decent graphics- yet great playability factor. I own all the Bethesda IHRA and motonet NHRA games- which are either too quirky or complicated to tune and race with. The only other truly fun drag racing simulation game out there still is Need for Speed Pro Street. I found this game through reading online reviews and critiques- and then hunted it down through ebay and amazon. This older game is rare, primitive by todays game standards- but a nugget! And I found it at a bargain price... So, my hat's off to ValuSoft for having released the best drag racing game ever!
