4.0 out of 5 stars vans slip on, October 29, 2010
My brother had these shoes and raved about them so I thought I would give them a try. The product shipped on time and without any damages. I love the ease of the slip on and neutral color. They are very casual and look great with jeans or shorts. The only issue I ran into was with size. They are both men's and women's making it a little difficult to choose the correct size. Other than that, I was very pleased with my order and will be ordering another pair in purple!

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfy, classic shoes, December 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: VANS Classic Slip On Casual Skate Shoes Beige Mens SZ (Apparel)
Always wanted a pair of these, granted, not the pink ones, but apparently I missed that when I ordered them. They look fine tho, it's a really light shade of pink, so it's almost unnoticable. They're pretty comfy, too. The pinky toe on my right foot sometimes feels squished, but that might just be me. All in all, they're my new favorite shoes to wear.

5.0 out of 5 stars 8 years and still going strong, May 11, 2011
I've had my Vans for 8 years and they have yet to retire! They are comfy and a definite classic!! The rubber side wall tends to peel at the ball of your feet and it yellows pretty quickly, but other than that these shoes are a must-have in anyone's closet. They are so easy to slip on and off and obviously durable since originally they were made for boat decks.

It's so fun to color coordinate my clothes with my vans and since the material is so stretchy my feet can breathe with ease

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for kicking around, April 26, 2011
I've actually got a few Vans checkerboard slip ons. Over the process of buying them (I have black/gray, off white/black, pewter/black and a custom pair) I noticed that they can get dirty pretty quickly. I wash them in the washer, but I think I've shorten the lives of them. I just got my pewter/black and custom vans and have not warn them outside. I purchased Fabric Guard

Smartwax 80202 Fabric Guard - 16 oz.

I've Fabric Guarded my vans with 4 coats and they are basically waterproof right now. I'm hoping that makes them stain proof too!

4.0 out of 5 stars Hey dude, let's party!, January 14, 2011
They are heavy, are impractical for cold weather, and take weeks to dry if they get wet. But they have a classic look that Jeff Spicoli made famous in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and I hope that they never go out of style.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great shoes, just get used to them., December 30, 2010
I bought these a few months ago at my local Vans store because I've been dying to have a pair of Vans.

First off, if you've never worn Vans or slip-ons, then don't be surprised if your heel starts to hurt for a bit. Sometimes for me, it was almost unbearable to wear them as it hurt so much. Eventually it got over with and I felt better. Once you get used to them, you don't want to wear anything else. My last pair was green Es high tops, and I'm certainly wearing Vans from now on. Secondly, the white ones attract a lot of dirt. I feel like I have to clean them every time I get home from school. It's not really a design flaw, it's just that white shows dirt more.

However, the big sole almost guarantees the zero chance of there ever being holes in the bottom of the shoe. They look really rad, but if you wear really tight skinny jeans, it might make your feet look huge. Sometimes they look huge in two of my Hot Topic skinnies, but not in the other three.

In short, these are great shoes.
