About the Author

Robert Sebesta is an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Computer Science Department at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Professor Sebesta received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Pennsylvania State University and has been teaching computer science for over 25 years. His research interests are in programming languages, compiler design, and software testing methods and tools. He has been a consultant to FederalExpress, Hewlett-Packard, Ford Microelectronics, Paramax, and Labtek. Professor Sebesta is the author of several books, including texts on structured assembly language programming for the PDP-11 and VAX minicomputers. Dr. Sebesta's textbook is excellent because he goes through the material step-by-step, using easily understood language to explain key concepts. After having him as a teacher in my undergrad days I'm very pleased to see his skills as a teacher expand to the written word!
