Bought this for my 11 year old son's birthday - he loves it, rated it 4 out of 5 - Huge amounts of fun, now my husband wants one too! Battery life is pretty short, consider getting extra battery pack.

Well, I got this boat so that I could pester the geese and ducks that hang out in the community pond behind my house. The first thing that I noticed was that the boat is extremely light. There are two small electric motors that control the two props independently and a NICD rechargeable battery pack. Ok, here's the skinny: I'm giving this 3 stars because the boat is kinda fun and it is really cheap, but the batteries only last for a good 10 - 15 minutes and then they have to be charged for 5 hours. The charger that is supplied with the battery pack is not a smart charger, so you have to make sure that the battery is only charged for 5 hours and not more. It would be convenient to get a wall plug timer and set it to cut the power to the charger after 5 hours, otherwise you have to make sure to remember to unplug the battery before the 5 hours are up. Also, as one reviewer mentioned, as the battery drains one motor gets more power than the other motor, so the boat doesn't go in a strait line; however, it is a $40 boat for cripes sake, so it is still fun. Anyway, for $40 you get a boat that is pretty fast for about 10-15 minutes. Hey, it sure does the trick in scaring the geese and ducks, so I'm happy with my purchase.

When our boat arrived, it did not run. I called Microbifber and they were outstanding in helping correct the problem, even calling back the next day to ensure we were satisfied. Great service, great boat, great company.
